Today, we are going to look at prepositions.

Prepositions describe the position of people or objects. For example:

The statues are behind the rope.
The book is near the painting.
The painting in on the wall.
Mr McKenzie stood next to the whiteboard.


Can you identify the prepositions in the following sentences?

1. They sat happily among the flowers.
2. The water fountain is near the town hall.
3. The children walked across the busy main road carefully.
4. Gary the goldfish swam behind his mother in the long fish tank.
5. The talented athletes ran around the sports stadium.
