Monday 11th May 2020 - Maths

Hello Year 3!

I hope you are well and have had a great weekend. Maybe you went for a walk, a run or rode your bike. I spent most of weekend fixing an old bicycle as it is Idriss' birthday on Friday as one of  my presents to him is teaching him how to ride (with no stabilisers).

But enough about me...

Here is a little riddle for you to solve!
Ciao for now!
Mr McKenzie

  2. 9*5=45
    68-34-34
    8+12=20
    56+30=86

Because he gave 9 friends an apple each. He then gave the 10th friend the apple in the basket.

but I think the ten apple's are included in the person that has ten friends because he's or she's part of the freinds

  5. 9x5=45

    68+34=34

    8+12=20

    56+30=86

There is an apple remaining because it is for the person who gave the apples to the friends which means she's included in the group.
