Tuesday 9th June 2020 - English

Today we will be working towards writing the story from the boy’s point of view.

What are the main points in the story? Can you remember the sequence of events?
Try to remember as many small details as possible.

E.g. What pops out of the water first? What colour is the boy’s scarf?
What hand does he hold the stick in?

Watch the clip again and see how many details you remembered.

How much detail did you recall?

Below is the timeline of the story.

Can you create you own and order the events of the story?

What would you put first?
The mallodile emerging from the water?
What happens next?

Try to recall the the story step-by-step and slowly.

You could draw the events on your timeline or use short sentences.

It  helps to watch the clip at the same time so you can see each event.

Can you decide what the 10 main points of the story are?
Use the table below to help you add more details to your timeline.
What is happening in the foreground (nearest to you)?
What is happening in the background?

Watch the video again to see if you can notice even more detail.

Can you write down at different points what the boy was thinking and
what the creature was thinking?

Remember to send pictures of your work to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com!

  1. My events of the story

1)Yes . The Mallodile emerging from the water.

2)The Mallodile goes on the grass and walks behind the boy's back scaring the boy.

3)The small skinny boy with short hair, was wearing brown shorts, creamy coloured t-shirt, a red scarf and black shoes.

4)The boy screamed and he sticks his stick to the Mallodile but the Mallodile didn't run away and ate the marshmallow.

5)Then the Mallodile acts like a puppy so he could have more marshmallow.

6)So the boy was giving Mallodile marshmallow but the Mallodile jumped to the boy scaring him and getting marshmallow from the boy's hand.

7)So he dropped the boy and he does a cute face but the boy doesn't give him so the Mallodile gets angry.

8)So the boy throws the pack on the floor and Mallodile gets the pack imagining about marshmallow.

9)The boy ran toward the forest.

10)So the Mallodile roasts the marshmallow but it disappears so he looked up and does a sad face.

In the foreground the characters are acting( Mallodile and the boy).

In the background there is trees, mountain and valleys. Seems to be silent and still.

The boy was thinking the Mallodile was a good person and they could become friends. Mallodile was thinking about his behaviour and said i should stop scaring people.
