At De Beauvoir, we learn phonics using Read Write Inc. There is a video about understanding phonics - have a look at why we teach phonics.
It is important that the children are saying pure sounds. Have a look at how to say the different phonemes (sounds) in the English language.
Watch Ruth and Rosie teach phonics lessons to help your child learn to read at home.
Lessons are from Monday to Friday. Each one is ten minutes long and available for 24 hours. You can have a look at some of the videos to practice your spellings using digraphs and trigraphs to support you.
